No amount of money can get you a better Coke than the one the bum on the corner is drinking.
What’s great about this country is that America started the tradition where the richest consumers buy essentially the same things as the poorest. You can be watching TV and see Coca-Cola, and you can know that the president drinks Coke, Liz Taylor drinks Coke and, just think, you can drink Coke too. A Coke is a Coke, and no amount of money can get you a better Coke than the one the bum on the corner is drinking. All the Cokes are the same and all the Cokes are good. Liz Taylor knows it, the president knows it, the bum knows it, and you know it.

That is a beautiful statement. Then again I am one of today’s few Warhol fans.
(I even rearranged the letters on my Marshall amps so that they would read “Warhol”!)
This kind of reminds me of the lottery though. Just think, the lottery is in all aspects a regressive tax, right? I mean, the rich and the poor and even the bums pay the same damn amount for a worthless lottery ticket. End result: the rich asshole is unaffected, the poor are out a buck, and the bums are now bankrupt.
Well dammit!…Coke is the same way then! That’s it, I may begin a boycott on Coke as soon as I’m finished drinking the one I have been sipping while maniacally typing this “article”.

Anything that is charged a fixed price is regressive then. Hope you don’t have to boycott everything you buy then Taylor.

Quiet you!
Yeah, you’re right. I can’t spend the rest of my life complaining about things of that nature. I’m sorry, I just got all worked up in the War on Qdoba. Seemed right at the time.
