Mega-dittos still rolling in
I mentioned this a while back, but now it’s been more than one year since I posted this totally throwaway entry, and there are still new random and totally disconnected political comments being posted.
Does anybody have a reasonable explanation for this? I’m missing something and I don’t know where to start in trying to figure it out.

Do you not have the ability to see where the people commenting are linking from?

I think I found the answer for you - if you type into Google “Private Rush e-mail address,” your page is first in the search results. People are probably thinking they are actually sending email to Rush Limbaugh when they put a comment on your page.
I think that answers your question. :)

Dallas: Check out TypePad. That seems like the easiest thing to use that still has lots of power. I know Adam is using it.
Brian: Not that I know of — I’ll have to check if my service logs referrers, but I don’t remember seeing it anywhere. Good idea… that would’ve shown that it was all coming from Google.
Annette: Thanks! You’re a genius. :)
