Waste Water
London performance artist Mark McGowan’s newest installation, The Running Tap, consists entirely of a faucet which he is leaving running for one year—in the process wasting 15,000,000 liters (4,000,000 gallons) of water—to draw attention to the problem of water being wasted in the city by residents and by Thames Water, the largest water services company in the UK.
Thames Water has offered to recycle the water used during the project but Mr. McGowan has declined.
Thoughts?
